Well, it's a little late coming, but Happy New Year everyone. I hope it went well for all. I rang in the new year by working...yep, how exciting. So this year, I have no resolutions. Every year (for the last couple years anyway), I made resolutions ans seemed to have gotten sidetracked, or they just didn't happen. So my one "resolution" for this year is to improve myself somehow. Impressive, no?
So, in keeping with my resolution, I have myself a new job...well, kind of. My transfer to PBX went through last week, on the 9th, and I start training tomorrow at 7pm. I'll be working late swing (7pm-3am) while I'm training, which will be like 2 weeks, then I'll start graveyard again. I'm so excited, I really am. You should have seen me Yesterday morning when I was clocking out--I was incredibly giddy, someone even said I had "Perma-grin". It was my last clock out from Tivoli, and when I left, I called my friend Christi and told her how happy I was because "Thank God, I am no Longer a Tivoli Employee!!!!" Then I did the same to my mom. So now I'm going to be the Hotel Operator. Hurray!!
I also enrolled myself in an Online Program Course today so I can get My Personal Trainer's Certification by studying at home. It's going to cost me a pretty penny (about $650) but I think it will be worth it because it's nationally accredited, and it's something I've wanted to do for a long time. I guess another benefit to my new job is that because I'm going to be the Graveyard Operator, it will be slow, so I can work on my studies while I'm at work. (I bet that will help keep me awake during the times it gets to be incredibly boring, too.)
I'm going to start looking for a new place to live (i.e., an apartment), so hopefully soon, I can find one that I can afford...We'll see how that pans out.
I'm also going to start looking into getting a credit card. That should be an interesting process. By "interesting", I of course mean, annoying, but I have to endure it because I need to establish credit, and to do so I need...dun dun dun...a credit card. Anyone that has any suggestions on which credit cards I should look into, feel free to share.
See? I am making an effort to improve myself/my life. Aren't you proud of me?
Ok, so I'm going to end my rambly entry now because Ashley and I are going to the movies. What movie we're going to see, I don't know. We'll probably do our method of "here's our money, 2 tickets to whatever's playing next please." It's a great way to pick a movie. Anyway, I'm outie. Love and Peace.
